- To Steve and the rest of us,
-
- We paid our $100 for the annual MacApp license (which covers any number of
- products from any one company). Now a publisher wants to include one of our
- MacApp-created products in a package together with other software. He is only
- changing the product name and icon. We are still selling the product ourselves
- under its original name; we gave the publisher a non-exclusive license.
-
- Apple's Software Licensing department would probably require that the publisher
- pay them for a license to distribute that software which I have already paid
- for already.
-
- We already credit MacApp in the About box (if I remember correctly). Would the
- change you suggested mean that the publisher would not have to pay for a
- license to distribute our product?
-
- Either way, I am in favor of your suggestion. Anything that avoids paperwork
- (and extra payments) sounds good to me.
-
-
- Sincerely..............Erez
